We are working with a Banking Group in London who are looking for a Head of Compliance and MRLO.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Lead the financial crimes team and division and make sure the Bank is compliant with the local regulators, escalating cases to the group head of compliance as required.
- Ensuring the Bank remains up to date and all processes are being ran effectively and efficiently. Provide process improvement ideas and implement changes where you see fit. Take ownership over the department.
- Effectively manage a team of compliance officers based in London and ensure the team are also up to date with the appropriate regulatory knowledge and banking requirement.
- You are responsible for interpreting laws, regulations and guidance notes applicable to anti- money laundering and counter-terrorism financing. Ensure the Bank meets its regulatory responsibilities with oversight over compliance monitoring, on boarding, training, screening, risk assessment and periodic reviews.
- Work with front offices teams to advise and provide compliant solutions for complex cases.
Key Qualifications / Experience
- Currently working as a Deputy Head or Head of Compliance with a strong background in Financial Compliance and MLRO.
- Knowledge of SIRON screening methods, Mifid II, AML and experience working under the compliance division of a Private Bank, Asset Management Company or Wealth Manager in the UK.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment and sometimes under high stress.
- You have a track record of leading and motivating a team of compliance officers.
- Located in UK or ability to work in the UK
