Corporate Relationship Manager – African Markets

Redstone Private Banking Search are currently working with a large global commercial bank based in Mauritius, who are actively looking to develop their Global International Corporate and Institutional business unit, which focuses on servicing all the corporate banking requirements of clients doing business in, from and with Africa. This Corporate and Institutional Banking is a key contributor towards the group’s profitability and this business unit represents one of the highest growth areas within the group.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

• Manage and service an existing portfolio of ‘Pan-African’ Corporate Banking clients, primarily focusing on large Global Corporates or Multinationals who are active across the Banks core African Markets i.e., Nigeria, South Africa, Ivory Coast, Kenya, Ghana, Gabon, Cameroon, Uganda, Tanzania
• Nurture and develop relationships with existing clients, intermediaries, and partners.
• Demonstrated capacity to work with product and structuring teams to propose and in some cases, design, the optimal value offering to clients
• Lead on client acquisition process
• Demonstrated capacity to work with product and structuring teams to propose and in some cases, design, the optimal value offering to clients.

Key Qualifications / Experience

• Ability and willingness to spend a significant amount of time for international business travel
• Prior track record of client development
• Be able to demonstrate strong knowledge of all aspects of credit risk management as part of credit structuring and management of existing credit exposures
• Fluent in English, French or any of the African languages would be highly beneficial
• Role reports into Head of Corporate Banking
