We are working with a Fund Manager in London who are looking for a Carbon Analyst with trading experience to support the Carbon Portfolio Manager and the CIO with the management of the fund. This position has scope to attain senior responsibilities as the firm are in growth phase.

Key Responsibilities / Tasks

  • Support the Carbon investment team through monitoring market moves, regulatory changes, marco-economical factors and supply the team with well present data and analytics.
  • Exchange and generate ideas with the team in a ‘blue sky’ environment. Attain a personal interest in the field and provide insightful information to clients / answer their questions.
  • Procure, manage and execute transactions in both voluntary and compliance carbon offsets. Work with options, futures, OTC transactions etc.
  • Develop trading tools to improve efficiencies and work to enhance existing structures.
  • Role supports Portfolio Manager and CIO.

Key Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience working in a fund manager, asset manager or within a financial environment.
  • Knowledge of the regulatory and voluntary compliance space and the market regulations.
  • Trading experience in a range of products is ideal.
  • Knowledge of trading systems i.e. EMSX or Bloomberg. Ability to use Excel, Python or Metlab experience is beneficial.
  • Ability to work in high stress and high-pressure environments, meet tight deadlines and make informed decisions in a short time frame.
  • Fluent in English. Any other language is a plus.
